Most of the time when dishwashers are dirty it has either one of the problems-mold, scale, rust, discoloration, build up from food. For cleaning the dishwasher the most important part is the right approach to the problem. Make sure that dishwasher should be empty and not have any dishes while cleaning it and do not add any detergent. Un the dishwasher in hottest setting for cleaning purpose.
• For mold run the dishwasher empty and then add one cup of bleach. This will kill the molds as well as whiten and brighten the tub
• For scale, add one half container of Tang orange drink mix, which is high in citric acid and loosen hard water deposit and scales. You might require wiping the inside with the sponge and removing excess scales.
• To remove rust stains run one half container of Tang orange drink mix. If there is still deposit run the dishwasher by adding a cup of bleach.
• For removing build ups run one cup of vinegar and one cup of baking soda.
